Northampton Festival of Dance relies heavily on helpers during the week of the Festival as the Trustees cannot do it all alone, especially as some of them are teachers and principals at participating dance schools.

Our volunteers mainly help out with staffing the admissions desk, announcing dances and supporting the younger competitors.  We also sometimes need help with playing the music, or even making refreshments to keep the adjudicator and writer going!

We understand that young people are often short of cash, so we do pay those volunteers who are still in education at the adult minimum wage rate to try to offer some support. These roles will usually involve staffing the admissions desk, where we always try to have two people for their protection and security.
